Single-machine scheduling with energy generation and storage systems

چکیده

This paper considers a single-machine scheduling problem with sequence-dependent setup times and energy-generation storage systems. Each job requires to be processed on the machine, both processing of require job-dependent amounts energy. The energy consumed by machine can bought from an Electric Power Company (EPC) or generated own Distributed Energy Resource (DER), such as solar photovoltaic wind, stored in Storage System (ESS). objective is minimise total cost, sum production cost depending makespan considering usage EPC, DER ESS. For problem, mathematical programming model first derived using period-based indexes. Then, hybrid genetic algorithm, which adds appropriate idle between jobs determines efficient schedule storing some during less expensive periods into ESS for later use high-price periods, developed. Finally, computational experiments show that proposed algorithm provides effective solutions, component affects performance most, how adding is, much saved having
